Project Summary

This project was designed to promote Non Formal Learning through which participants  shared personal experiences, contribute based on their skills, work collaborative, irrespective background and acquire tools for research (interview method, presentation skills) in order to reach their goal which is Prevention on Drugs.

-Through this project youths  also improved the sense of social care, solidarity, creativity, and initiative because they will be involved in structured Non formal activities in which they was encouraged and motivated to meet what interested them more and be develop holistically.

 

Thus, in this project youths shared and developed methods and knowledge that are connected to the background and interest of the participants, and in some cases, they  combined the topic with creative time such as music, sports, dance, games in a way to enhance inclusive participation of all.

to provide to youths to design, to implement and to exploit a project that comes directly from their interest and is related to current realities
to increase awareness on drugs and illegal substances and their related side effects as they are affecting users and the people around them and society in general

Youths shared knowledge, experiences, and practices, to prepare presentations, role plays, campaigns for increasing awareness and final products preparation.
Also, they was involved in daily reflection, evaluation, met with guests/expert on the topic.
Hence, they  improved skills and developed attitudes on how to be more competent to protect themselves and others and enhance their own development

Objectives :

to create tangible and intangible results directly from youths for the youths, but for their NGOs too, irrespective their background (religion, social, financial and educational level)
to support youths and leaders to develop their competences and be certified with a Youthpass
to offer safe and educative space for learning by sharing to all participants irrespective skills and background. This was achieved with NFL based activities but also with structured activities where participants will go through real stories of past users and experts from rehab centers
to explore and understand the power of intercultural understanding and dialogue for tackling global problems as drugs use

Venue

The Youth Exchange took place to Paralimni.

The accommodation was located 65 km from the Larnaca International Airport. Participants was accommodated in small houses of 3 rooms. They slept 6 persons per house (1 double bed/2 single beds/2 sofa beds).

 Partners NGOs sent 5 youths (18-30 years old) and a leader (18+ years old). Total: 6 representatives
(a) Had interest in the topic and was ready to support visibility during and dissemination after the project Activity of the topic.
(b) Harticipated less than 6 times E+ Mobilities of YW
(c)  Gender balance required
(d)  Had basic skills on digital and media technology
(e)  Able to communicate and write fluently in English)
f)  Priority had participants with fewer opportunities (social, economic, health, geographical barriers)
(h)  Worked as multipliers of experience and results through visibility and dissemination activities, before, during the YE, during the final report and after the project.
