Youth Exchange
Prevention on Sexual Risk Behaviors
About the project
Project Summary
Through this project we wanted to explore the extend that the cooperation between youths from 8 different countries could have been successful on learning through non formal education in regard to practices for sexual risks behaviors, but also to improve our competences.
In few words we organised this project to provide learning and education to youths who were not enough aware about the risks of uprotected sexual acts and also to provide a base of discussing such topics to other situations where young people are not encouraged to discuss or open themselves to others because the topic is considered taboo in their societies.
The objectives were the following: To
1) provide opportunity to as many possible youths to be involved in designing, implementing and exploiting a project that comes directly from their interest and is related to current realities
2) increase awareness on dangers and side effects of SRB like Unprotected Sexual Intercourse (USI) and how these influence us youths, people around us and society in general
3) offer safe and educative space for learning by sharing to all participants irrespective skills and background. This was achieved with NFL based activities but also with structured activities where participants went through real stories of past patients and experts (like general doctors etc)
4) explore and understand the power intercultural understanding and dialogue for tackling global problems as SRB and promoting healthy lifestyle
5)create tangible and intangible results directly from youths for the youths, but for their NGOs too, irrespective their background (religion, social, financial and educational level)
6)support eachother (youths and leaders) to develop their competences and be certified with a youthpass
